COMPUTER INFRASTRUCTURE
Kendriya Vidyalaya No1 AFS Tambaram has 124 computers with Broadband internet connection with a high speed of 100 mbps. There are 3 Computer Labs in the Vidyalaya separately for Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary classes. Apart from this, a Language Lab is set up in the Vidyalaya with Words Worth English Programme for the students to speak English with fluency and confidence. There are 10 e-class rooms with Interactive Board, Projector and Visualiser.

Computer as a subject is taught from class III std onwards. Computer Instructors have been appointed on contract basis separately in Primary and Secondary sections. Our Vidyalaya has a large collection of educational CDs and Encyclopedias. Students have the optional subject Computer Science in Science Stream and Informatics Practices in Commerce Stream in Higher Secondary level.
